Pottery production in Northern Greece during the Iron Age
(in englischer Sprache)
Pottery production appears to be one of the earliest developed crafts in ancient Greek culture, and it has a long tradition in Northern Greece. The topic of this lecture will be the so far known installations of the Iron Age pottery workshops. Their organization and production will be explored along with some representative categories of pottery that are characteristic of the region during the same period. Issues of trade and distribution within the frame of the ancient economy of the area will also be investigated.
